DIMENSIONS

Please use inches. Metric only if absolutely neccesary.

The finished artwork should have a bleed of 1/8 (.125) of an inch on all sides.
So, for a 2 by 4 inch sticker, the dimensions of the final printable document are 2.25 by 4.25 inches, but the LIVE AREA is still only 2 by 4. This small margin is neccesary for the cutter. Allowing the artwork to bleed over the edge will avoid having an unintentional hairline at the edges of your image.

e.g. a 2 by 4 inch sticker - the files dimensions are (L)2.25 by (W)4.25 inches.
(L+.25") by (W+.25") = dimensions of your printable document

RESOLUTION

Simply put, the resolution should always be 300 dpi, Higher is ok, but unneccesary. Lower than 150 dpi is a major risk. 72 dpi is not acceptable.

COLOR MODE

Do your work in CYMK mode. This will avoid unexpected and unwanted color shift. If you are using SPOT colors in Illustrator or QuarkXpress, convert them to CYMK mode. We cannot be responsible for colour shift that occurs when converting files to CYMK.

FONT USAGE

Macusers should use postscript or truetype fonts.
Don't forget to supply them on the disk with the other relevent files.
If you are supplying an Adobe Illustrator file, please convert any fonts to outlines.
PC users must convert all fonts to outlines.

FILE FORMATS

EPS or TIFF files are acceptable. Do NOT use jpeg or LZW compression.
